The Fugro-TSM Group of Companies believe that a high standard of environmental performance is essential to the success of our business. This is achieved by balancing the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development.

We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance while delivering value to our customers.  Compliance with environmental legislative and International Standard for Environmental Management System (AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004) requirements is the minimum standard we set for our operations.

We have implemented a number of internal initiatives to reduce or offset our Carbon Footprint.

• While our vessels are modern fuel efficient designs that use the cleaner MGO fuel, through a partnership with Carbon Neutral we are minimizing our impact on the environment in offsetting our vessel fuel consumptions and aircraft travel greenhouse gas emissions by the planting of mixed native species trees in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt area.
• In our office environments we utilise Greenpower electricity options  to help realise an aspiration of achieving a carbon neutral organisation;
• We have an active and effective paper and waste recycling program in our offices that are Championed by enthusiastic volunteers
• We care continually setting internal targets to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Understanding and taking responsibility for our impact on the Environment is an important value in Fugro-TSM. With vessels operating offshore, our personnel undertaking significant airline travel and our general office consumptions we fully acknowledge our increasing Carbon Footprint.

Our commitment to offsetting and reducing our Carbon emissions is genuine and comes at a high cost to our business. We sincerely believe this cost is far outweighed by the importance of our efforts.
